Ari and Maya Came over today to give me a hand with the initial electrical work and with the home depot shopping. Ari and I did the shopping while Dana and Maya went ice skating and then Ari and I did most of the work while Dana rested and Maya took a nap. Below are some photos from today's excitement.

After some Home Depot shopping, and a bit of custom ladder building, Randy and Ari and I got tons of cable pulled. We ran coax to the kitchen, the living room behind the new tV, and two lines to the closet in the living room which will now double as an AV hiding space. We also ran three HDMI cables, a USB cable, and ethernet between that closet and the wall behind the TV, as well as telephone line from the closet to Dana's desk. Tomorrow we will finish the project and get the TV on the wall.

Today had some highs and some lows. We got everything done. In fact we even had Randy back in the crawl space pulling more wire and now there is cable and telephone in the master bedroom. I wired a 66 block in the closet to distribute the telephone. However, when we went to hang the TV mount we ran into trouble. Lag bolts that came with the mount were junk and sheared off in the wall. As a result we'll need to move the mount up an inch and Randy will have to buy new bolts and take care of it while I'm at work tomorrow. So close. Soon to be finished. Can't wait!

Randy was able to get replacement parts and with assistance from Dana and Fay while I was away at work, they were able to get the TV mounted.
